Frist is out of line (again)

I am writing in regards to the “shut-down” of the U.S. Senate on November 1st. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist complained about the parliamentary maneuver and told reporters that “The United States Senate has been hijacked by the Democratic leadership.” I am baffled by Frist’s comparison of the elected representatives of the American people to terrorists. Is Harry Reid suspected of being any sort of criminal, whether a terrorism or maybe insider trading, like the Majority leader himself is under investigation for? In February of 2003, Michigan student Bretton Barber was sent home from school for wearing a shirt calling President Bush an “International Terrorist,” but the Senate Majority Leader calls the Senate Democrats hijackers and that’s apparently acceptable. Frist’s comments are insensitive, ignorant, and out of line.
